The SensoriMotor Research Group, 2008
The Sensorimotor Research Group was founded at ASU in 2006 when Steve Helms Tillery joined the faculty of the Harrington Department of Bioengineering.  In that time, the group has grown around the nucleus of success in neuroprosthetics research enjoyed at ASU to be a diverse group.   We focus on sensorimotor learning and representations in the nervous system and neural mechanisms which enable the brain to carry out fine motor skills.  In addition to core research within the Department of Bioengineering, the group also collaborates closely with the Visuomotor Learning Laboratory under P.I. Chris Buneo and Marco Santello in the Department of Kinesiology.   The group draws students from bioengineering, kinesiology, and psychology programs at Arizona State University
